Sorrows of Sophia was engineered and co - produced by Klaus Vormehr in Quivvey Church. The project was strong in terms of musical arrangement and interesting conceptually, writing about the roles of women in mythology, the female divine and the female within. The texts used were in Italian, C9th and C12th sources in Latin and French. The track demonstrated here, Salomé, uses multi layering of voices by Mark St.John Ellis and the text is inspired by the Oscar Wilde play of the same title. The cover to the album is from a treated photograph by Daniel Faoro from the artistic direction of M St.J E.
